The first recorded usage of a vending machine is actually a subject of much controversy, with many different sources claiming different time frames being what some might consider “an original”. The first theory of what one might call a vending machine was a dispenser of holy water created by the hero of Alexandria in 195BC, thought to be a machine created to “ward the evil from the world”…but some might consider this to be a false concept as some may argue against it’s purposes. The second reported “first use of a vending machine”" was created in the early 1920′s to dispense soda into cups, this of course was disputed as well due to the absence of what one may call a container. Then in the year 1800, in London, England a vendor had appeared to dispense post cards automatically when you enter a coin, finally the concept was born. Last but not least, in the year 1880 the Thomas Adams Gum Company had trademarked the idea of a vending machine as they had invented the gumball machine.
As the years had passed by, the market for vending machines had substantially increased as both corporations and small businesses had demanded the use of vending machines. Many people had decided to cash in on this need including one such business known as Planet Antares, established before 1998. The purpose of Planet Antares was to help locate convenient places for their clients to distribute vending machines. Planet Antares is a home-based vending company designed to help entrepreneurs pursue the market for the cashcrop it was revealed to be.
On the other side of marketing and (no pun intended) vending vendors, there lies the world of manufacturing. Planet Antares is what some businesses might consider a “middle man merchant” as they too rely on cooperation from such corporations such as Samsung, JCM, and Coin-Co. As a small business one might find it easier to strike a deal with smaller vendors such as Dixie Narco or Genesis Manufacturing, of course even doing this you may need to establish a strong foothold in the market. As stated before, Vending machines only began production in the year 1888 to produce gumball machines so while the demand has been around for awhile, one might find it still attainable to pursue this line of work as many companies still require Companies like Planet Antares.
